Unique Dancewear
I used the wonderful, stretchy, rich-colored
fabric of a uniform dress to make this
ultra-comfortable dance piece.
The back detail is openwork made of velvet ribbon including a fixed bow at the base
This dress was designed to accentuate the hip movements in salsa. It's fitted around the hips, and the skirt has fullness from godets
The high collar and open lace-up back add a sultry air.
This is a flirty silver party dress. I got the sequin-festooned mesh fabric from
a shirt found at Goodwill
The playful strappy back closes with
a simple hook and eye.
The fabric for these wrap pants was given to me by a friend. It took me a while to decide what to do with such bright patterned cloth!
Fabric for this dress came from an Indian skirt. I was able to keep most panels intact and
retain the raised embroidery
These pants make a real statement on the dancefloor. The waistband is reinforced with snaps to prevent unintentional statements.
The front embellishment is an openwork lace panel. Lace is also used funtionally as
straps and as a back closure
